Mayo Clinic Health System Tells You to Put Your Health First in Touching Spot

With May the official month of Mental Health Awareness and much of America re-entering the world following the height of the global pandemic, Mayo Clinic Health System is reaffirming its belief that making health a priority is one of the most important things in life.

However, despite health being more top of mind than ever, almost 75% of Americans (18-49) do not have a primary care physician, nor do they see the benefit in having a trusted healthcare partner.

Focused on keeping Midwesterner’s at their very best, for life, MCHS has partnered with creative agency TBWA\Chiat\Day NY and Academy Films for its latest marketing campaign. The second iteration of its 2020 brand campaign Expert Care. Everyday, For Life, the campaign continues to position the brand as a destination of experts putting its patients' health first.

"The campaign showcases our strategic value and the important role Mayo Clinic Health System plays in the lifelong continuum of care for our patients," says Mary Jo Williamson, Mayo Clinic Health System's chief administrative officer. "We provide the high-quality primary, specialty and surgical care most used by our patients, and a direct link to Mayo Clinic for highly complex care."

TBWA\Chiat\Day NY executive creative director Walt Connelly continues: “There are so many things in life we always put first, ahead of ourselves. Things like our hair, cars, and especially our pets. But we put off the most important thing. Our health. This observation was the inspiration behind this simple, true, human story of a man who puts his dog before everything else — forgetting to deal with his own nagging knee pain.”

With 51 Mayo Clinic Health System locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, the campaign is targeted towards health care decision-makers in the Midwest and will run across local cable stations, OLV/Youtube as well as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
