Matt Groves Joins Mother

Mother London has hired Matt Groves, Saatchi & Saatchi's Director of Integration, as its first Operations Director. In his new role, Matt will strengthen the Mother London management team following on from the appointment of Sara Tate as the Managing Director.

Matt’s responsibilities include leading all integrated production, transforming the agency’s digital capabilities and overseeing London's growing design practice. Groves joined the SSF group in 2010 as Director of Integration at Fallon and later moving to Saatchi & Saatchi, helping to transform both agencies’ integrated offering, recently overseeing the acquisition and successful integration of the social and digital agency Outside Line into Saatchi’s.

Groves’ career spans 18 years. Before joining Fallon he was a director of San Francisco based Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, a partner at digital production company unit9, founded digital at McCann London and owned the digital agency 64k.

Groves said: "I am proud to be joining Mother and bringing all my experience to bear on one of the best creative shops in the world. To make the move into an independent environment where I can really influence change in the way the agency works."

Sara Tate, Managing Director of Mother London said: “Matt will be joining us at a time when we are innovating and re-inventing the way we make things. He will be critical as we continue to make dramatic advances in our digital capabilities. It’s an exciting time for us and we can’t wait to have him on board.”

Andy Medd, a Mother Partner added: “We took a long time to find Matt, because his skills are rare. His talent is going to make us all better. He’s a really terrific person too, so we are looking forward to having him round our table. He will be a great addition to Mother.”
