Master The Art Of Game Development At Adfest 2012

ADFEST invites  this year’s delegates to take part in an innovative three-hour workshop titled ‘Game Development without Math’, hosted by Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc, Tokyo. 

 

This unique workshop will give creative professionals the chance to learn how to create text and picture based games. Programming skill is not required – the course is designed to teach anyone with an interest in gaming how to create HTML5 ＋JavaScript based games in just a few short hours. 

 

“With some simple instructions, text and pictures, we’ll show how people can create novel games easily for mobile devices,” says Ryo Shimizu, President & Chief Executive Officer, Ubiquitous Entertainment Inc.

“The possibilities presented by games are limitless. Games have the power to inspire and enlighten, prompting people to solve problems they might otherwise dismiss and learn about topics they might never consider.”

 

On Day Two of ADFEST 2012 (Monday 19th March), at 11 am, Shimizu and Dentsu’s Akira Kagami will co-present a Speaker Session titled ‘Dentsu Presents Zen of the Communication Architecture A.K.A. Game’. The following day, on Tuesday 20th March, Shimizu will run the Game Development without Math Workshop from 10am – 1pm.

 

Game Development without Math is open and free-of-charge to all ADFEST 2012 delegates, however spaces are limited to just 40 people. Although no prior knowledge of programming or math savviness are needed, participants do have to bring their own iPhones or android phones to the workshop to develop the games!  To secure your place, contact Krit@ADFEST.com

Game Development without Math is one of two interactive Workshops taking place at ADFEST this year, giving delegates the chance to roll their sleeves up and put theory into practice. 

 

On Monday 19th March, Cirkus also hosts “Get Creative with your Mind & Money, Play the Cirkus Animation Game” which will demonstrate what can be achieved within a limited budget and timeframe. 60 delegates will also get to play a game and learn first-hand how manage their own animation production budget.  The Cirkus Animation Workshop runs from 10am – 12pm.
