MassiveMusic has announced the appointment of Charles Gadsdon, who joins the company’s London office as Head of Creative Development.
The newly created role is an essential part of the global music agency’s expansion plans for 2016 and will see Gadsdon seek out new business opportunities for MassiveMusic. His focus will be on helping the London team grow its creative output by looking for interesting and exciting collaborations and partnerships, and communicating the company’s diverse musical offering to current and new audiences.
Gadsdon joins from Bacchus Creative Entertainment, a creative agency focused on music, sports and the entertainment industry, that he founded in 2015. His role involved leading the company’s sales and marketing efforts, pitching and project managing, from ideation through to execution. Prior to founding Bacchus, Gadsdon worked for music agency Cord Worldwide as Head of New Business for Europe, winning clients such as Dove, Harrods, Brooks England and several accounts on the Nestle Portfolio.
Gadsdon comments: “I’m delighted to join a reputable and talented team that’s constantly pushing boundaries across music, technology and beyond. I’m looking forward to standing proud next to the fantastic creative work MassiveMusic has made with some of the world’s leading brands and, thankfully, I’m now in a position that enables me to positively disrupt and impact culture through creative opportunities.”
Paul Reynolds, MD of MassiveMusic London, adds: “Charles has a very rare ability to be incredibly tenacious in his approach yet remain grounded and friendly. He really stands out with his proven background in developing creative business and his passion and knowledge of all things music. His love for West Ham FC had no bearing on his employment... honest!”
MassiveMusic’s global network sees all its offices support each other in an open, collaborative way, to which Paul adds: “We all end up sharing talent and knowledge, and Charles' role will no doubt bleed into our network, mainly due to the very nature of the way we work, but also due to the highly diverse and multi-disciplinary work he will bring us.”
