iCrossing, a marketing agency that’s part of Hearst, announced today that Martina Suess has joined as Global Head of Marketing & Communications, effective immediately. Suess’ appointment follows a transformative few years for iCrossing, which has quietly been expanding its capabilities and expertise in order to help clients capitalise on change. She joins the agency’s senior leadership team reporting to Anne Bologna and Mike Parker, iCrossing’s Chief Engagement Officer and Global President, respectively.
In this newly created role, Suess is tasked with elevating awareness of iCrossing’s brand positioning ensuring the agency’s advantages in creativity, technology, media, strategy and content are well known. She will oversee all global marketing initiatives, internal and external communications, public relations and events with a special emphasis on furthering iCrossing’s promise of delivering solutions that drive business performance for clients.
A creative communications leader, Suess brings a unique 360-degree approach to driving brand awareness in a disruptive market. She joins iCrossing from Wunderman where she was Vice President of Global Corporate Communications. While there, Suess was responsible for growing the organisation’s reputation and share of voice through a robust communications program encompassing extensive thought leadership, digital and social, media and public relations, events and partnerships and executive visibility for the agency’s senior leaders and clients.
“Martina has a proven track record for driving reputation and awareness in a complex market,” said Mike Parker, iCrossing’s Global President. “Her passion for great storytelling is infectious and we are confident that Martina’s experience will help propel our ongoing growth and expansion as a full-service agency that’s uniquely positioned to meet and exceed the needs of modern marketers.”
“Mike and his team have set a very compelling vision for the direction iCrossing is heading,” added Martina. “I’m really excited by the challenge of advancing the agency’s communications to better convey how its unique set of offerings differentiates it from competitors and delivers greater results for clients.”
Prior to Wunderman, Suess was a regional program director for Brand Innovators where she worked closely with CMOs and other senior brand marketers to develop live event content to complement and remain ahead of marketing industry trends. Earlier in her career, Suess was Head of Communications for early-stage investment firm Quotidian Ventures where she launched the fund’s in-house communications practice on behalf of its portfolio of more than 60 technology startups. After starting her career in film publicity, Suess moved into advertising working in account management for public relations agency Powell Communications.
