Academy Films has announced the signing of South American director, Martin Hodara.
Over the last few years, Martin has been building up quite a collection of advertising awards from around the world, most recently a Lion at the Cannes Advertising Festival for zombie-licious Zona Jobs, ‘Grandmother’. He has also worked on brands such as Ariel, Flash, and Papermate.
Having worked in filmmaking and advertising since the age of 18, Hodara spent several years working as an editor before moving into directing, which may explain his strong sense of narrative.
It was Martin’s witty style and ability to tell a good tale that appealed to Academy, who said: “First and foremost, Martin is a storyteller. He injects warmth into his films, tying in a strong narrative, wry humour and bucket loads of charm.”
