Mark Burnett of Whitehouse Post was selected to cut the latest
quintessentially English films for Shredded Wheat.
Reflecting the recent success of Elaine Constantine’s film ‘Northern
Soul’; they chronicle the passion of Dave, a huge fan of the music and dance movement of the mid 1970’s.
Evolving at the tail end of the Mod scene, youngsters discovered the
sound of Motown and developed their own style of dance to accompany the new
craze, which became known as Northern Soul. The scene evolved in Wigan and the
film has a defined Northern atmosphere.
Knucklehead Director, Finn McGough’s beautifully observed vignettes feel both personal and inspiring. The cereal is generally aimed at the 50’s age group, but this film is full of life and energy, which shall appeal to all ages. With Burnett’s cleverly crafted edit the film encapsulates the essence of one man’s passion and that of the brand, encouraging you to ‘live from the heart’.
