Presented by Joanna Lumley, the two-part series follows her 1,500-mile journey across two of the most mysterious countries in the Caribbean – Cuba and Haiti. The first episode starts in the capital of post-revolutionary Cuba (Havana) where Joanna explores the back streets of the city, meets an upcoming female boxing star and also visits The National, a hotel that pre-dates the revolution.
The series gives a glimpse into the hidden side of these fascinating countries and explores their rich history.
Jessica has scored award-winning films that have been in competition at BAFTA, The National Television Society, Edinburgh International Film Festival and The Annie Awards.
She has also worked on various film and television projects, scoring the BBC’s The Ruth Ellis Files, as well as composing additional music for Tribeca nominated Serengeti Rules. Jessica has worked in the music department on studio features such as Paddington 2 and Darkest Hour, as well as BBC’s Our Girl and George Gently.
In 2016 she co-founded Audium Post with Tim Morrish and Tom Jenkins, as an award-winning sound and music post production company which have worked on the sound and music for brands such as Reebok, Mercedes, Bose, BMW, Virgin Trains and New Look.
Jessica recently scored BBC One’s ‘Abused by My Girlfriend’ and BBC’s ‘Exposed: The Church’s Darkest Secret’, as well as additional music for Netflix’s 'The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann'.
The first episode of Joanna Lumley’s Hidden Caribbean: Havana to Haiti, airs tonight, 9pm on ITV.
