Manners McDade’s Harry Escott Scores New Comedy-Drama Wild Bill

Manners McDade composer Harry Escott has provided the score for ITV's latest comedy-drama, ‘Wild Bill’. Created by David Griffiths (The Hunted), Kyle Killen (The Beaver) and Dudi Appleton & Jim Keeble (Silent Witness), Wild Bill’s stellar cast features Rob Lowe (The West Wing, Parks and Recreation), Rachael Stirling, Angela Griffin, Tony Pitts and Bronwyn James. Lowe stars as Bill Hixon, the US cop who is recently appointed as chief constable of East Lincolnshire’s Police Force.

Showrunners Jim Keeble and Dudi Appleton said: “Wild Bill gives us a chance to write about modern Britain and modern crime through unique eyes. We wrote this for Rob Lowe, for his smart-talking, anarchic, soulful voice.”

Harry Escott first came to prominence in 2005 with his score to David Slade’s influential psychological horror film, ‘Hard Candy’. His recent work includes Paddy Considine's boxing drama ‘Journeyman’, Fox UK’s drama ‘Deep State’ and 2017 British drama film ‘Dark River’, which was penned and directed by Clio Barnard, starring Ruth Wilson, Mark Stanley and Sean Bean. Harry has also scored successful BBC One 6 part drama ‘River’, created and written by Abi Morgan, starring Stellan Skarsgård, which was awarded the 2016 Music and Sound Award for best TV original Score. Harry also scored Michael Winterbottom’s most recent film, ‘The Wedding Guest’, starring Dev Patel.

Wild Bill airs Wednesday 12th June, 9pm on ITV.
