Malcolm Green's Upbeat Montage Shows Covid-19 Can't Kill Love

With over one million hits, ‘Love is Immune’ is the heartfelt montage that remembers all those couples who have had to cancel the biggest day in their lives. But as the film reminds us, love can’t be cancelled.

The spark of the idea came to director Malcolm Green, whilst talking to a friend of his whose daughter's wedding (which he was invited to) was unable to go ahead. The bride was understandably absolutely distraught. Malcolm then realised that this was happening everywhere.

Malcolm: “Rather than make another bleak video with empty streets - or do something completely in denial of the hardship people are going through - I wanted to do something grounded in positivity. Something that cheered people up, not gratuitously, but in a meaningful and useful way."

Most of the footage came from friends and family wedding videos that Malcolm managed to track down as well as available clips on YouTube and Facebook. Handily Malcolm also knows a couple of wedding videographers. The whole film took two days. Malcolm wrote and recorded the demo vo, and worked together remotely with his editor Tom Baker, selecting footage etc. The VO was recorded remotely, the final sound mix was done on GarageBand.
