Kaliro Spirits appoints LP/AD, a Toronto brand consultancy, for the brand development and launch of their new 9 di Dante vermouth. A European boutique spirits group, Kaliro Spirits has planned the European launch of 9 di Dante for October 2019, with a Canadian and US launch scheduled for early 2020.
9 di Dante seeks to change perceptions around drinking vermouth. “Many cocktails are made with vermouth, so it’s been primarily seen as an ingredient more so than a standalone drink”, comments Alex Shifrin, president of LP/AD, “This has been changing dramatically, similar to what happened with gin and the speakeasy movement a few years. You’re seeing similar trends coming out of London and Barcelona with vermouth, meaning that other markets are going to experience this trend very soon. With 9 di Dante, we’re hoping to help give vermouth the spotlight it deserves. Vermouth is still wrapped in mystery for many places, and the 9 di Dante brand drips with that same mystery.”
LP/AD is working closely with Kaliro Spirits in developing the vermouth brand from the ground up. The full scope involves brand mapping and messaging, visual identity, packaging design, digital asset development, social media strategy and management as well as launch campaign activities.
