New Zealand’s natural generosity is the inspiration behind Lotto New Zealand’s latest campaign, Kiwis Helping Kiwis, developed by DDB New Zealand.
The heart-warming campaign celebrates the small acts of kindness performed by Kiwis every day. Whether it’s on the water, the rugby field or with your friends, Kiwis help Kiwis because…that’s just what we do.
Lotto NZ is no different, with 100% of their profits used to support over 3,000 good causes around the country each year.
DDB chief creative officer Damon Stapleton says the goal was to create a campaign that recognises all examples of Kiwis helping Kiwis – big and small.
Says Stapleton: “When it comes to giving personal time to charity or community projects, Kiwis are incredibly generous. We wanted to create a campaign that helps Kiwis stop and reflect on those acts that can have such powerful positive effects.”
Established in 1987, Lotto NZ offers a range of lottery games that give Kiwis the chance to play and win while giving back to good causes. With a long history of generating essential funding for Kiwi communities, supporting good causes is at the heart of everything Lotto NZ does.
Lotto NZ’s chief marketing officer Annemarie Browne says the uplifting spot perfectly reflects the values of the organisation: “Kiwis are always there to lend hand and give back – and that’s what Lotto NZ is all about too. With this campaign, we wanted to showcase some of the great things that Lotto NZ has supported over the years – and it’s all thanks to Kiwis playing our games.”
