Celebrating those Kiwis who break free from their routines and embrace the now, New Zealand vodka brand Long White’s new brand platform shows that every great adventure starts with a choice.
Created by The Monkeys Aotearoa, part of Accenture Song, the campaign film ‘The Decision’ follows one man’s adventures after he seeks encouragement from an unlikely flatmate urging him to take the plunge to have some fun.
Directed by Jason Bock at Flying Fish, the film is supported by OOH, in-store activities and across social. It is set to run nationally this December.
Asahi Beverages NZ general manager – marketing, Oliver Downs, said, “Long White’s purpose is all around embracing the now, and with this new campaign we wanted to inspire Kiwis to live that purpose. ‘The Decision’ is a film all about making the most of a moment, and the memories that are created as a result. As our first piece of work with new agency partner The Monkeys, we were thrilled with the results.”
The Monkeys Aotearoa chief creative officer, Damon Stapleton, added, “We know that every great adventure starts with a choice, but that sometimes life gets in the way, and we end up forgoing those opportunities.
“Exploring the possibilities of what could happen when Kiwis say yes this summer was an exciting prospect, and we’re looking forward to building on this activity across the next couple of months. Long White is also New Zealand’s largest vodka RTD and is loved up and down the country so we knew we had to celebrate it the right way.”
