McCann has been awarded a creative assignment for leading pharmacy brand LloydsPharmacy, ending a three-way competitive pitch process against The Brooklyn Brothers and VCCP.
McCann’s work for LloydsPharmacy will commence with immediate effect. The assignment is expected to cover a creative campaign launch centred around LloydsPharmacy’s new digital healthcare strategy.
The appointment comes from McKesson UK, which owns LloydsPharmacy, and follows an announcement last month that the organisation had acquired medicines management app Echo. LloydsPharmacy, the second-largest pharmacy chain in the UK, will continue to work on other campaigns with its existing retained agency, BeCurious.
Stephen Meade, CEO at McCann Enterprise, said: “We are delighted to be working with LloydsPharmacy and look forward to creating a campaign that reflects its status as a much-loved brand and part of the fabric of our communities.”
