TBWA\Media Arts Lab today announced the appointment of Liz Taylor as managing director of its London office. Taylor is the first executive to transition from the agency’s headquarters to a leadership position in a global Media Arts Lab hub, bringing firsthand, intimate knowledge of Apple’s business to support efforts in Europe and the Middle East. She will continue to report to global president Katrien De Bauw, based in Los Angeles.
Since 2018, Liz Taylor has excelled as the global executive director for iPhone, overseeing the work for new-product launches and global campaigns, including the long-standing 'Shot on iPhone' platform. Her inherent knowledge of Apple and the work has proven invaluable to colleagues and clients alike, setting the stage for her to lead the agency’s second-largest office.
In her new role, Taylor will have the opportunity to apply her knowledge to the region, and to continue delivering proactive and culturally impactful work throughout Europe.
“Working closely with the clients in Cupertino and our global MAL teams has provided me with a unique understanding of Apple, and the creative and operational excellence needed to deliver engaging communications for the world’s greatest company,” said Taylor. “The London office has delivered many notable campaigns under Stephen Hancock’s creative leadership. I look forward to bringing the insights I’ve gained so far to help enhance both the creative product and our partnership with Apple in this region. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity, and excited to pave the way for greater mobility within our network.”
As Media Arts Lab continues to focus on developing original, tailored work in local markets around the world, Taylor’s move is a pivotal step to ensure relentless attention to detail across the network, continuing to create simple, iconic work on behalf of Apple.
Global president Katrien De Bauw added: “The transition of a trusted leader like Liz moving to our London office reflects our ambition of growing each office around the world and strengthening the team and the work to create cultural impact for our client around the globe. Liz has proven her keen ability to lead, and we have the utmost confidence she will do great things in London.”
Prior to joining Media Arts Lab in 2018 Taylor led account teams for agencies like Wieden + Kennedy, AKQA, The Martin Agency, GSD&M and more. She is no stranger to delivering exceptional results for enterprise brands, as proven by her roster of past clients which ranges from Delta Airlines, Verizon Wireless, Comcast, Hallmark and others.TBWA Worldwide, Mon, 10 Feb 2020 10:23:20 GMT
