Francis Wallis partners up with Korean fashion brand and international football platform, GOAL, to create an action packed, and skill inspired campaign film. Working alongside Italian freestyle champion Anastasia Bagaglini, the film that celebrates individual journeys and the pursuit of doing the things you love.
GOAL STUDIO is a football-inspired lifestyle brand built on an in-depth understanding of football culture from the world’s largest digital football destination, GOAL.COM, which is published in 18 languages across 38 editions. Director, Francis Wallis: “We actually lost our original hero cast, due to her being in a country that got added to the quarantine list right before the shoot. Luckily, we found Anastasia Bagaglini on Instagram, and we managed to draft her in at the last minute from Italy. This felt like one of those blessings, as she was a joy to work with on the day thanks to her professionalism and incredible skills set.
The weather along with shooting under the new covid restrictions made it a very tricky affair. We went through some extreme weather conditions on the day, so we had to really think about how we could cut together our narrative in the edit.
Finding the time to perfect your craft is something that all athletes can relate to. In Anastasia it felt like we had moulded a script around something that felt authentic and true to her story. The British summer weather definitely tried to blow us off track on the day, but we managed to hold strong and see it through.”
A special thanks to Martin Richman, the artist of ‘Underwhirl’ which was inside the tunnel we shot in.
The project is running on Korean TV and socials worldwide.
