Josh Neufeldt returns to LBB in Toronto as Canadian reporter and Lab features writer April Summers joins Adam Bennett, head of features, Americas, on Pacific time

Global, data-driven communication platform for the creative industries Little Black Book [LBB] today announces further expansion and growth in North America with the appointment of Josh Neufeldt as Canadian reporter and an increased PR presence working across the Pacific timezone.

Based in Toronto, Josh will be reporting into Americas editor Addison Capper. The duo will be on the hunt to increase coverage of the most forging creative companies in the country by highlighting the leading work, talent and trends via news pieces, features and interviews. Josh’s appointment also aligns with plans to launch a dedicated Canadian newsletter that will help celebrate and share what's happening with LBB’s Canadian members in greater numbers and with more consistency.

Josh originally worked with the team at LBB during a work placement as part of his journalism degree at the University of King's College. After impressing the leadership with his keen attention to detail, engaging storytelling and passion for the creative industries, he accepted a full time position post-graduation.

Alongside Josh’s appointment, LBB will also put more boots on the ground for its PR agency, LBB Lab, on a North American time zone. Features writer April Summers will move to Canada to join Adam Bennett, the Lab's head of features, Americas. The move will ensure that the growing global client base for the Lab has more dedicated and experienced journalists to advise on and create written content during Pacific time working hours. New appointments for the Lab will follow in EMEA.

Addison Capper, Americas editor, comments, "Appointing a dedicated Canada reporter is a testament to how important the Canadian industry is to us at LBB. Having Josh on the ground in Canada, someone who lives and breathes Canadian advertising, will mean more opportunities to cover interesting stories and cool people from all corners of Canada, opportunities that will get businesses and individuals profiled both locally and globally. He spent some time with the editorial team last summer and it wasn’t long before we discussed bringing him on board permanently. Josh is an excellent writer, hyper smart interviewer and passionate about things like technology and gaming, which are all important traits when covering the ad industry of 2022 and beyond. Plus he is an extremely good dude. We believe our members and the wider advertising industry will agree!”

Josh Neufeldt, Canada reporter, comments, “I can honestly say that I’m delighted to be returning to the team at LBB. Landing a fellowship here in the summer of 2021 was an eye-opening experience and I am thrilled to be representing Canada - showcasing the best of my country’s work to a global audience. I’ve been told from my earliest days at LBB that Canada doesn’t give its ads the hype they deserve, and so I’m looking forward to changing that, where and whenever possible. “

Founder and CEO Matt Cooper adds: “Canada has always been a hugely important region to our business and it's our belief that the world wants to know more about the consistent creative brilliance that comes out of Canada. Josh’s appointment and April’s move will not only ensure all parts of North America have full support - from our editorial team and our PR agency - but it furthers our belief about nurturing young talent. LBB has always supported and propelled forward the great people that walk through our doors. It’s ace to welcome Josh back so soon and exciting to send April out to new (but familiar) territory.”
