LIA Names Sander van Maarschalkerweerd as 2016 Music & Sound Jury President

Sander van Maarschalkerweerd, Founder & Managing Director of Sizzer Amsterdam, has been named as Music & Sound Jury President for the 2016 London International Awards (LIA).

Sander comments: “Having served as a member of the LIA Music & Sound Jury a few years ago, it’s a huge honor to have been invited as this year’s Jury President.”

Music & Sound observes the execution of original, adapted and repurposed pieces of music and sound effects in creatively enhancing a brand.

Speaking on the significance of the medium, Sander adds: “Brands and music need each other more than ever. Brands can create a much-needed platform for artists. And for brands, music is a way of connecting with their target groups on an emotional level. It has become easier for brands to touch into all that the music world has to offer, but doing it in a creative and truthful manner is still a great challenge. I look forward to the discussions with the other jury members and to select the work that sets the bar in the Music & Sound category.”

The LIA 2016 Entry System is now accepting entries. The initial Entry Deadline is 10th. Judging will take place in Las Vegas from 6th October to 14th October.
