With an Ad of the Year, a Gold, three Silvers and 8 Bronzes, the Leo Burnett Group Manila emerged the most awarded agency at the recent Tinta Awards (The Philippine Creative Print Awards). Tinta Awards is an annual awards show that recognises creative excellence in print advertising. The awards show also has a key goal of keeping the spirit of print media alive amidst an increasingly digital terrain.
Leo Burnett was recognized for creative work for clients WWF and McDonald’s while Black Pencil (a part of Leo Burnett Group) scooped a Gold and an Ad of the Year for the “How Not to Instagram” campaign created for Preview Magazine (published by Summit Media). The winning work was entered into the Tinta Awards’ online advertising campaign category (which stipulated that entries must have ran in website and online products of the newspaper or magazine titles).
A select panel of jury members from the advertising, media and digital agencies set a high creative bar, and considered superior idea and execution as key judging criteria when choosing the winning works.
Raoul Panes, Leo Burnett Group Manila Chief Creative Officer, said: “Print advertising is becoming more challenging given today’s diverse media options and people’s ever decreasing attention span. Tinta Awards Show rewards those who are able to do best in bringing creativity to the fore. We are grateful for the recognition and we will continue to do creative work that sells and wins, in partnership with our clients.”
