Leo Burnett is going dark this Saturday evening in support of Earth Hour, the global annual environmental event organised by the World Wildlife Fund which encourages people to turn off non-essential lights for one hour.
From Monday 18th March, the agency is putting up a back-lit sign in its windows, which is only visible at night, saying: “KILL YOUR LIGHTS. EARTH HOUR. 23-03-13.” Viewable from the very busy West Cromwell Road, the signage is designed to remind people driving into the centre of London of Earth Hour.
Earth Hour begins at 8.30pm on Saturday March 23rd. The agency is plunging its entire building in Kensington into darkness, switching off all the lights for Earth Hour.
The Leo Burnett creatives behind the idea are Ben Gough and Graeme Bowman.
