Leo Burnett Chicago Hires EVP, Executive Creative Director Nancy Hannon

Leo Burnett Chicago appointed Nancy Hannon as executive vice president, executive creative director to manage the creative teams behind Kraft brands including Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Crystal Light and Breakstone’s as well as Kellogg’s Special K. Hannon will bring her expertise in retail marketing and marketing to moms and women to Leo Burnett’s clients.

“Nancy is known as a leader in portraying women in advertising with attitude, intelligence and depth. We welcome her contributions and leadership in this space,” said Leo Burnett USA Chief Creative Officer Susan Credle.

Hannon joins Leo Burnett in its Chicago headquarters from EnergyBBDO where she was EVP, executive creative director overseeing Quaker and vitamin brands like Flintstone’s, Citracal and One a Day. While keeping human-centric creativity and ideas at the core of her work, she continues to evolve her skills to create cross-platform and integrated campaigns.

“Leo Burnett is building tremendous momentum that is quite contagious. With a healthy impatience, we’ll continue to invigorate the agency’s digital expertise,” said Hannon. “Through partnerships and new collaborations, our work can be shaped to drive culturally relevant, two-way conversations in real time.”

Prior to her role at EnergyBBDO, Hannon spent time at other agencies including The Martin Agency, DDB and Y&R. She is also involved with the 50/50 initiative, the Chicago Executive’s Club and served as a panelist at the 3Percent Conference, speaking on the importance of mentorship to young women and men in the advertising industry.

Hannon’s work has earned top honors from the industry’s leading awards shows including Cannes, Clios, the New York Festival, AICP, Addys, Effies  and D&AD.
