Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation recognized Leo Burnett Chicago as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality. The creative agency received a perfect score of 100 percent on the HRC’s 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality. This is the third-straight year Leo Burnett has received a perfect score, and it joins the ranks of 391 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.
"Our industry was built on creativity and diversity, so it’s crucial that our people and culture reflect and embrace those ideals as well,” said Leo Burnett North America CEO Rich Stoddart. “By fostering a community of inclusivity, we’re able to not only create the best environment for our employees, but create the best work for our clients.”
Leo Burnett has created several highly acclaimed LGBT-inclusive campaigns throughout the past year for clients including Allstate, Esurance, Hallmark and Kraft JELL-O.
The 2016 CEI rated 1,024 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Leo Burnett’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
