Lenovo is one of the leaders in consumer electronics personal computers and related services. During the lockdown due to Covid-19, Lenovo Ukraine wanted to convey to its target audience a message of care and understanding of the situation. With most of the population working from home, there are moments that can be pretty disruptive for work. Cats are among them. They love being on top of a warm keyboard and you don’t want to drive them away because you love them.
The MeowBook is built to mimic the look of a laptop with a heating device, felt cover and 'MeowPat' which 'rustles' under the cat, like the keyboard. And, it also closes like a regular laptop.
Want your cat with you while you work but not distracting you? Place your MeowBook next to your laptop and plug in a USB heater to keep your pet feeling cosy and comfortable.
The first limited edition of MeowPat was presented with the help of bloggers and social media activation.
The campaign drew a total of 9.5 million impressions within the first two weeks of its launch, and the MeowPat went out of stock in the first week. More importantly the campaign helped demonstrate how Lenovo connected tech with emotions during a time when people need it most.
