Leland Originals' Jessica Dannheisser has composed the soundtrack for 'The Queen & I', produced by King Bert Productions and Sky.
Produced by Jo Sargent and David Walliams at King Bert Productions, the ninety-minute film is based upon the classic Sue Townsend novel.
Starring David Walliams, Samantha Bond, Frances Barber and Johnny Vegas, the story charts the Royal Family adjusting to life when they are forced to live on a housing estate in the Midlands following the election of a Republican Prime Minister.
The score was recorded in London and Budapest and sees a further successful collaboration between Jessica and director Dan Zeff, for whom she has previously scored the BBC Four TV movie 'Eric, Ernie and Me', and two series of the BBC Three sitcom, 'Siblings'.
Jessica is a composer for film, TV, VR and theatre, based in London. Her other scores include Sky VR’s award-winning experience ‘Hold The World’ featuring Sir David Attenborough, and recent BBC One feature docu-drama ‘Suffragettes With Lucy Worsley’, commissioned to mark the centenary of female suffrage. She has also orchestrated many film scores including Mica Levi's Oscar-nominated, Ivor Novello winning score for Jackie.
