In a new commercial from the wedding company Zola, actress Lea Michele gives viewers a look at just how easy it was to plan her recent wedding — based on actual scenes from her Instagram account. Lea is a real Zola user, registering on the website herself prior to the partnership.
“Let Lea be Lea,” created by Brooklyn-based independent agency Quirk Creative in collaboration with Zola’s internal team, shows the former Glee star using Zola’s suite of wedding planning tools including building her wedding website poolside, working her abs and registry, and selecting the perfect invitation.
“Planning a wedding can be chaotic, but we wanted to show how easy (and fun) the process can be using Zola. We feature real couples across all marketing, so the fact that she was already registered with us before the partnership made Lea the perfect enthusiastic bride to work with,” says Jennifer Spector, director of brand at Zola.
The Lea Michele partnership is the first celebrity partnership for Zola. In addition to the commercial, Lea hosted a wedding paper party at the Zola store in NYC, posted on Instagram, and Zola developed a landing page
showcasing her favorite Zola products.
