After a short break, Little Black Book's High Five series returns next week with more diverse insights than ever before

The eagle-eyed High Fivers may have noticed a recent omission of selections celebrating great creative work from around the globe. But fear not, the channel is back with new themes, insights and all-time favourites from some of advertising’s biggest - and also newest - names.

Since its inception at Little Black Book, the feature has seen creatives worldwide pick five pieces of advertising made in their own country that stood out to them. While this was a brilliant way for people to connect with creatives globally, LBB saw an opportunity to open up the channel to discuss a wider range of topics across the industry, such as the world’s best beer commercials, the funniest ads in the eyes of the experts, and what exactly has been happening with the Metaverse...

On top of this change, instead of serving up a daily helping of High Five, the new schedule will see just one High Five newsletter per week go out to readers to give them a mid-week adrenaline boost.

“High Five is a fantastic way to not only celebrate and share some of the incredible work being made worldwide, but also serves as an opportunity to learn from the industry’s leading experts about what makes a great ad and why it remains so memorable," commented Hannah Baines, head of High Five. "I couldn’t be more excited with who we have lined up for this year and the diversity of topics they will be delving into, and I wait on tenterhooks to see the projects they choose - narrowing it down to five can be a tough challenge!”

"Little Black Book has always been about bringing our readers creative inspiration from all over the world and every corner of the industry, and High Five has become a distillation of that," added Laura Swinton, editor in chief at LBB. "This new evolution allows us to bring even more variety to our readers - and by broadening the scope we hope it will be even more fun and useful. I certainly can't wait for the mid-week creative pick-me-ups to come flooding in!"

From Cultural Diversity Day to International Chocolate Day, Diwali to animation, the team has taken a good look at 2022's calendar of global events and themes to honour, with the new series launching on Wednesday 13 April. So keep an eye out for the first bundle!
