Los Angeles-based LA.B Film & Content signs director Adam Cameron for U.S. commercial representation. Cameron’s offbeat humor has been seen in dialogue-driven spots for such notable clients as Subway, AXE, Toyota, Mobil, Dunkin’ Donuts and Time Warner for top agencies including McCann Erickson, EuroRSCG, Mullen, GlobalHue and Kaplan Thaler Group. Coming to LA.B from Great Guns, Cameron’s most recent work includes a witty campaign for Lebron James’ new Home Court furniture line out of Mullen, Boston and doc-inspired spot for Movistar boasting the nontraditional goal celebration routines of an Icelandic soccer team in “St. Jarnan” out of DDB Madrid.
Notes LA.B executive producer Francesca Matera, “Adam Cameron is a perfect fit for LA.B’s roster. His comedic style is very different from our other directors, and still very funny. He is ‘solid’ and international—plus, I love his sense of humor!” Adds Cameron, “I’m excited to join LA.B—they’re a boutique shop that does high quality work and I really feel that they are genuinely behind my work.”
London native Cameron began his directing career as half of the directing duo Joe Public at Stark Films in London. Seeking less dreary weather, he moved to Los Angeles in 2000 and has worked as an independent director for such notable production houses as Biscuit Filmworks, Limey, Company and Great Guns. His creativity in commercial directing has been recognized through numerous industry accolades including awards at Cannes, the Clios, the Addy’s and the AICP Show. He has also been nominated for DGA commercial director of the year twice.
