Picture gold coins flying through the air and dancing pigs, cats, and…hippos? Created by Herc The Agency and directed by Rutger van Leeuwen from Mr.Frank, the latest campaign from Dutch Knab Bank takes an unconventional and joyful approach to online banking. 

Ambassadors was brought onboard for VFX and animation to help bring Danish illustrator Klara Graah’s 2D creations to life. “With a small, collaborative team and flexible approach, we were able to draw from each other’s strengths to immerse the 2D animations into the live-action film in a really fun, tactile and tangible way,' says Creative Director Justin Blyth. "Finalising the film in Flame also allowed for fast feedback and tweaking on the fly. With this, we could have the director in the room to move things around, change layouts, and see it all play out at delivery quality."

“So playing all this Paper Mario during early lockdown days wasn’t a waste of time after all – it resulted in some nice inspiration for approaching this ad!” says director Rutger van Leeuwen. “Big thanks to Ambassadors for putting love into the craft and bringing this to life."
