Ask any doctor: an ounce of prevention is, yes, worth much more than a pound of cure. Checkups can save money — and even lives. And under the Affordable Care Act, routine tests and screenings are covered by most health plans at no cost to consumers.

To remind people just how critical preventive care is, but without making it feel like a lecture, Cigna’s agency, McCann, enlisted the aid of some thoughtful and funny kids and asked them: what is the most important thing your parents do for you.  Their responses, the practical and the unpredicted, are featured in a simple new Father’s Day spot from Cigna, breaking on broadcast and online on Friday, June 19.  The spot ends with a gentle reminder that on top of all that a parent does, the most important thing you can do for your kids is to take care of yourself.
