Kia has launched its new Sorento SUV with a new campaign from Innocean Australia.
As
the new 7-seat SUV travels through the Aussie countryside, four
characters each pose and give a smile for the Sorento's 360-degree
camera. A cheeky gnome, a smiley cattle dog, an unusually happy sheep
and finally a grinning old croc, which innocently sends the family
racing away from the camp ground. A fresh take on the Nat King Cole
classic 'Smile' completes this spot.

From
its 8-Speed Manual transmission to its Lane Keep Assist technology, the
newly styled Sorento gives you plenty to smile about, so the launch
commercial is accompanied by a suite of digital films, each focusing on
one of freshly styled SUV's many great features.
The
campaign runs from July and will form a major part of the recent
announcement of Kia Sorento winning Australia's Best Cars Best SUV
$50,000 - $65,000.
Says Steve Jackson,
Executive Creative Director of Innocean Australia: "A few things made me
smile about this spot. Firstly, the single-minded narrative. More often
than not everybody wants to focus on everything. Secondly, working with
Noah Marshall again who, along with Blockhead, helped us create a
really elegant tone for the spot. And finally, the singer, I was nervous
about retaining the class of Nat's masterpiece, but she's rather
fabulous I think. Thank you Nylon for finding such a gem."
