House 337 teams up with director Juliet May to reinforce NOW as the home of quality entertainment

Streaming service NOW, with the support of agency partner House 337, has released the next in its series of Brand ads, with award-winning comedian Katherine Ryan front and centre, taking on the role of a ‘Tough Critic’.

Directed by Emmy and BAFTA-winning Juliet May, known for iconic British comedies including Motherland and Miranda, this ad is an evolution of the streaming service’s last series of brand TV ads, based on the insight that more and more people want quality entertainment. This sequel reinforces NOW as the home of quality entertainment, good enough to satisfy even the toughest crowds. 

Speaking of the campaign, director Juliet May said: “Katheryn Ryan is one of my favourite comedians, so when NOW approached me about this campaign, I leapt at the chance. She’s funny, direct, and people really connect with her. We had a fabulous time working together, and I think you’ll see she’s done an incredible job.”

The streamer’s latest brand campaign took viewers once again to the centre of the imagined NOW HQ, the control room showcasing the beating heart of the service: its content. Known for her candid stand-up comedy, Katherine Ryan fronts the brand’s latest creative vehicle, as she plays the character of someone who is notoriously hard to please. But that doesn’t stop NOW ‘employees’ from winning her over with a sweeping selection of this year’s biggest television, cinema and sporting moments.  

The TV ads are set to run from 19th May until 1st June and will be supported by through-the-line executions of its content wall across OOH and digital assets featuring the brand’s iconic green colour, as the streamer aims to reinforce with NOW there is so much to love.

Jamie Schwartz, director of marketing and merchandising at NOW said: “With Katherine at the helm, this was the perfect opportunity to remind new and existing members that we’ve got something for every TV fan, no matter what they’re into. Whether you want to watch the latest F1 clash, sink your teeth into The Last of Us or entertain the whole family with blockbusters like Top Gun: Maverick there’s something for everyone.”

The main 30” advert will go live across TV, Cinema and social on 19th May, starting with ITV, C4 and Sky Media, accompanied by bespoke 20” edits unpacking each of the streamer’s Membership options including Entertainment, Cinema and Sports.
