Karmarama Bolsters Senior Team

Karmarama has hired BBH Singapore’s Richard Powell as Managing Partner and 180 Amsterdam’s Michelle Hopkins as Head of Project Management, in a boost to its global offering.

Powell, previously Managing Partner and Head of Content at BBH Singapore, and Hopkins, the former Client Services Director at 180 Amsterdam, bring a wealth of global experience to Karmarama. 

The hirings come as the integrated communications agency grows its number of international accounts and continues to invest in supporting its clients’ brands across international markets.

Powell has spent the past eight years within the BBH network, working as Content Director at BBH London between 2005 and 2009, before joining BBH Singapore. He has worked across a range of global brands including Heineken, Vodafone, Axe and Google.

Michelle Hopkins joined 180 Amsterdam in 2005 as Head of Project Management and was promoted to the management team as Client Services Director in 2010. As Client Services Director she was responsible for managing the creative production output of the agency, including the global Asics account, and the DHL and Qatar Airways accounts. Prior to 180 Amsterdam, Hopkins worked at Mother for almost two-and-a-half years.
