Karmarama Bolsters Creative Department with Two New Hires

Karmarama is further bolstering its creative department with the appointment of two new additions to the creative leadership team. Grey’s Cathy Hutton and CP+B’s Simon Wakeman have been appointed as Creative Director and Head of Design respectively.

They will both report to Karmarama’s Chief Creative Officer Nik Studzinski.

Cathy Hutton will now form a creative team with Karmarama Creative Director Jo Jenkins.  Hutton joins from Grey where she was Creative Director on client accounts, including Hugo Boss and Lacoste. Hutton has previously worked at Leo Burnett and Lowe Profero, and started her career at 4creative.

Simon Wakeman, who joins Karmarama this month, will work across all of the agency’s creative output. Before joining Crispin Porter + Bogusky as Head of Design in 2013, Simon worked at a number of agencies, including Naked Communications, Iris, Wieden + Kennedy and CHI & Partners.

Nik Studzinski said: “I’m delighted that Cathy and Simon are joining the growing creative department here at Karmarama. In Cathy we have a incredibly progressive and talented, conceptual writer. And in Simon, our new Head of Design, we have one of the most talented designers in London. On top of that they both live up to our mandate to hire not only the most talented, creative people in the industry but the also the nicest.”
