Campaign Asia Pacific awarded JWT Singapore the Southeast Asian New Business Team of the Year award, capping a year of new account wins that put the agency at the forefront of the region’s industry.
JWT also was named Agency of the Year (Silver) for Singapore at Campaign’s annual awards show last night.
"It's been an incredible year and our folks threw themselves into the challenges to create innovative ideas people want to spend time with. It paid off. I am very, very lucky to work with such a talented bunch of people,” says Frank Bauer, CEO of JWT Singapore.
JWT Singapore chalked up a string of new business wins this year, including Changi Airport. the Singapore Tourism Board, the regional Kellogg’s business and several other large, regional accounts. Bauer, who joined the agency in January, promoted Valerie Cheng, an award winning creative with a strong digital background, to the role of Chief Creative Officer, and added over 40 new hires to the team, including software developers, digital creatives and planners.
Bauer stressed the importance of operational excellence on the back of a recently introduced project management approach and brought in Jenn Hoe, ex-Yahoo, as a Director of Operations to "ensure we sustain the growth for the benefit of our clients".
The agency also won awards at the Effies, Clio, London International Awards, Adfest, Creative Circle and more, for work on major accounts like Unilever, HSBC and Nestle.
