J. Walter Thompson (JWT) announces the promotion of five senior creative and production executives.
Heather O’Flynn, Head of Production, was previously an Executive Producer. Jessica Stewart and Brittany Sarrett have been elevated to Creative Directors. Meg McGinley has been promoted to Director of Business Affairs. Finally, Zeynep Cingir has been appointed to Director of Digital Production.
“It’s always important to recognise talent, ingenuity and hard work,” says Ben James, Chief Creative Officer, J. Walter Thompson New York. “These are the women defining creativity today and tomorrow and what impressed me is the tremendous effort they are making –not only to drive change within JWT– but the industry at large.”
While the needle has moved slightly, the impact of that surge has been substantial as female creatives bring fresh ideas and modern perspectives. This translates to more progressive and inclusive representations of women, as well as other segments of society.
“Clients are increasingly interested in pitch teams with gender parity, proving that being more inclusive is not only the right thing to do but it makes better business sense. This starts with investment in training, equal opportunities for key assignments and clear promotion criteria,” said Tamara Ingram, Chief Executive Officer, Worldwide J. Walter Thompson Company.
