What happens when you add a house full of college a capella singers and some dance-infused ladyscaping? Probably the new spot from JWT New York for Schick/Skintimate
Partnering with Schick/Skintimate, director Adam Shankman of Hairspray and Rock of Ages (and the Basic Pitches of course!), JWT NY created "Ready, Shave, Shine," a music video inspired by the brand's partnership with the Universal film Pitch Perfect 2 that celebrates the different steps a woman takes each day to create a confident style as unique as the legs she stands on. The music video features parody arrangements of the songs “Bang, Bang” and “I Love It.”
The video is part of Schick's overall "Rock Your Legs" campaign – an integrated program that also includes limited edition product in-store, an Aca-battle sweepstakes, movie trivia game, and in-film product placement as the new Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle makes its movie debut. It's currently at 1.3 million Facebook and YouTube views and only out a few days.
The video will be supported by contextual online ads, social media, desktop and mobile pre-roll placements, and a dedicated custom Spotify channel – and will also be shown in-store at a few major retail locations and in cinemas.
