JWT London Wins Unprecedented 6th IPA CPD Platinum award



J. Walter Thompson London has been awarded its sixth consecutive IPA Platinum CPD award – more than any other top 100 agency.

The award is the industry’s highest accolade in recognition of an agency’s L&D programmes. To win a Platinum award you need to win consistent Gold Awards. JWT London has now won eight Golds and six Platinum - demonstrating sustained CPD excellence and proven effectiveness. 

Helen Tupper, Commercial Marketing Director, Microsoft, was Chairman of judges, who said: “JWT’s submission successfully portrays the vast array of CPD activity that they is undertaken and explicitly links it to business aspirations. Their entire submission delivers a persuasive argument for the benefit of encouraging diversity as a tool for re-energising the agency as a whole.

The judges particularly enjoyed the sense of excitement created by the Agency’s focus on Diversity & Inclusion and how the LeaderSHE programme has acted as a catalyst to the creation of two consultancies that have delivered revenue and contributed to new business.

JWT’s submission successfully argues that ‘diversity of talent equals diversity of ideas’. The recognition of female capital is genuinely a golden thread that runs through CPD activity throughout 2017.”

Agencies must pass a very rigorous process to attain a Gold CPD accreditation, including writing a paper demonstrating the tangible business success that has been driven by the effectiveness of its CPD programme on - regardless of the size of available budget. They must also demonstrate creativity in building an energetic learning culture.
It is important that the agency delivers clear evidence that the CPD practice lies at the heart of their business and is not just an ‘add-on’.
