As a result of their pioneering work for Shell brands, Perry Fair, President and Chief Creative Officer of JWT Atlanta, today announced the promotion of Jeremy Jones to Executive Creative Director and his creative partner Dustin Tamilio to Group Creative Director. Both were previously Creative Directors at the agency. In their new roles, Jones and Tamilio will be responsible for continuing to inspire a new level of creativity at JWT Atlanta.
“Jeremy and Dustin have had a tremendous impact on the agency and its work,” said Fair. “I am proud to elevate them during such an important time for the agency and look forward to seeing all that they accomplish during JWT’s 150th year.”
Over the past two years, Jones and Tamilio have created some of the agency’s most buzz-worthy campaigns and projects for Jiffy Lube, Shell, Quaker State and Pennzoil. Most recently, they served as the creative team behind the launch for Pennzoil Platinum with PurePlus Technology, which included the SXSW activation Mario Karting Reimagined, as well as the documentary “Breaking Barriers” and integrated campaign “Born from Natural Gas.” The innovative nature of the product launch got people talking about something they normally have very little interest in discussing, motor oil. The SXSW activation alone received more than 1 billion media impressions and was named by The Daily Dot as one of the top seven product launches of all time, right next to Twitter.
In his new role, Jones will act as the ECD for brands including Pennzoil, Quaker State, Shell, Jiffy Lube, FEMA, SCANA Energy, USVI and Transamerica. Tamilio will serve as the GCD for the agency’s Shell portfolio including Pennzoil, Quaker State, Jiffy Lube, as well as Shell. Both roles are effective immediately.
