gyro, the global ideas shop, has hired Jürgen Müller-Nedebock as the creative director for its Munich office.
Prior to joining gyro, Müller-Nedebock was senior creative director at Action Impact GCC in Dubai. He led all of the creative agency’s output for such clients as Al Rajhi Bank, American Express, DHL, Land Rover and Volvo.
Before moving to Dubai in 2008, he was a founder and creative director of Oh Agency, Amsterdam (a division of Leo Burnett.) Clients included Adidas, Heineken, Motorola and Volvo. Prior to that, Müller-Nedebock served as a creative director at Leo Burnett from 1997 to 2004, overseeing creative for clients ranging from BMW to Diageo to Reebok. He began his career at Hunt Lascaris TBWA South Africa.
Müller-Nedebock, who is a trained classical guitarist and photographer, has won some of the industry’s most prestigious awards. Most recently he was honoured at Dubai Lynx with awards for Volvo, Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi Airlines Private Aviation. He also received Cannes Lions for “20 Lives” for Nokia as well as Eurobest honours for Volvo, Nokia, Heinz and Reebok. Additionally, he won a gold Effie for the Johnnie Walker “Black Label Lounge.”
