London-based sound design company, Jungle, has announced the promotion of three members of its team, extending the number of engineers at the company to 14.
Lawrence Kendrick, Culum Simpson and Alex Wilson-Thame will all be taking on the role of sound design engineer, where they will work across a range of both broadcast and advertising clients.
All three have worked with Jungle since leaving college. Lawrence and Culum previously worked as tracklay and assistant engineers while Alex has been promoted from an account handling role. The promotions reinforce Jungle’s commitment to championing young talent, through the provision of rigorous on-the-job training to encourage advancement.
Graham Ebbs, Managing Director, Jungle says: “Jungle has long been acknowledged as having the most thoroughly trained engineers in the industry. We are committed to providing opportunities for hard working staff and take pride in the fact that not only do we have the best possible team at Jungle, but that our ex-employees now head up the audio departments at some of the UK’s leading post houses and agencies – there can be no better endorsement than that.”
Jungle has also recently appointed Athene Parker as New Business Consultant. Athene has over 17 years’ experience in the industry and has had both exec producing and new business roles in the areas of production, music, post and audio post. She says, “I have known Graham and some of the senior engineers since I first started in the industry. The level of talent and expertise under Jungle’s roof, along with the company ethos and the way they encourage their staff made it a no brainer when they approached me for the role. The collective desire to move forward makes it an exciting prospect to be a part of.”
Jungle is ramping up its team following the refurbishment of its studios at the end of last year. The £500,000 investment saw its two Wardour street offices knocked together to create one building with a shared entrance. The 1st floor has been completely refurbished with a new reception and Dolby cinema studio. Jungle has built three new audio studios taking its total number to 10. A café and bar has also been created for clients and staff to work and socialise.
