DigitasLBi has promoted Julia Conroy to the role of UK PR & Marketing Director.
The newly-created role will see Conroy work to further raise DigitasLBi’s profile in the UK as a global marketing and technology agency that transforms businesses for the digital age.
Conroy will continue to drive PR and communications strategy for DigitasLBi, and will also take on formal responsibility for UK marketing activity including awards, events and speaking engagements.
Conroy will continue to report into Gareth Jones, who was recently promoted to the dual role of Global Chief Brand & Content Officer and International Chief Marketing Officer. Jones has spearheaded a strategic content-driven approach to marketing for DigitasLBi since joining in January 2011.
Since joining DigitasLBi in May 2012, Conroy has worked to strengthen the agency’s brand through homegrown events, industry partnerships and a sustained PR & comms program. She has also worked with Executive Creative Director Simon Gill to revamp the agency’s awards entry process and introduced a new internal communications platform with high levels of engagement.
Conroy began her career at Condé Nast Publications and has since held roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and Kitcatt Nohr Digitas, where she helped the agency achieve three Agency of the Year titles.
