Johnny Fearless hire Nick Gutfreund

Johnny Fearless has appointed Nick Gutfreund, the former worldwide board account director at Publicis, as the agency’s first non-executive chairman.

Gutfreund, who currently runs his own furniture design company, has spent 18 years in advertising and worked at board level for agencies including Lowe-Howard-Spink, Butterfield Day, and Bates Dorland.

Gutfreund’s new role will involve working alongside the founding partners at Johnny Fearless focusing on business growth and international expansion.

Before setting up his bespoke fine furniture business, called Nick Gutfreund Fine Furniture, Gutfreund was group managing director at i-level from 2001 to 2003, where he was instrumental in their successful transition from a small to medium size agency

Prior to that, he was worldwide account director at Publicis for two years, running the global Ericsson B2B business. He has worked on clients including Vauxhall, Heinz, Saab, Tesco and BSM.

Gutfreund takes up the non executive chairman role from mid August this year.
