John Herman Joins pohmedia

 

Industry leader John Herman has joined media strategy and planning agency pohmedia as Assistant Media Director, reuniting an award-winning team recognized for its work with clients that include BMW Mini, Burger King, Ikea, Molson and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
 
While working together at Crispin Porter + Bogusky – where Herman most recently served as Group Media Director and Head of Media Operations – he and pohmedia President Jim Poh oversaw the U.S. MINI Cooper re-launch campaign that exceeded sales goals and significantly increased consumer awareness. Their work collected two Cannes Media Lions and was named the 2003 Media Plan of the Year by Mediaweek and the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. Mediaweek also that year awarded the campaign its Grand Prize for Excellence. Their success integrating media planning into CP+B's creative work led to the agency's winning Media Department of the Year from MediaPost in 2006.

Herman brings more than two decades of insight and experience working with some of the world's most recognizable brands. He received a Cannes Media Grand Prix in 2001 for his work on the Florida Truth anti-smoking campaign, which sought to reduce tobacco use by changing teens’ attitudes toward tobacco and the tobacco industry. Before his more than 14 years at CP+B, Herman was a senior media planner and buyer at Miami agency McFarland & Drier Advertising.
