Japan Proves A Winning Contender in Design at Cannes


Out of the 79 strong winners, Japan had a solid run with 11 awards, including two Gold Lions for Dentsu Inc Tokyo and one Gold Lion for Taku Satoh Design

Japan Proves A Winning Contender in Design at Cannes

Taku Satoh Design Tokyo was successful with a Gold Lion for ‘Pleats Please Flowers Series Posters’ for client Issey Miyake.

Dentsu Inc Tokyo picked up Gold Lions for ‘Get Back Tohoku’ for East Japan Railway Company, and ‘Junior Swimming Championships’ for client Tokio Marine Nichido.

Dentsu Inc Tokyo also picked up some Silver Lions for campaigns including ‘Pearl’ for KEIO University, and again, campaign ‘Junior Swimming Championships’.

Hakuhodo Tokyo also took home a Silver Lion for ‘Japanese Harmony’ for Suntory Holdings. 

More Silver Lions were awarded to TBWA\Hakuhodo Tokyo for ‘True Wetsuit’ Quicksilver Japan, and SIX Tokyo’s ‘Exobiotanica’ for Makoto Azuma (botanist & flower artist).

The Bronze Lions were cleaned up by MORI Tokyo/Dentsu Inc for ‘Honda Beautiful Engines’, Dentsu Inc Tokyo’s ‘Iron Mind’ for Yoshida Hideo Memorial Foundation, and lastly, AD&D Tokyo bagged a Bronze Lion with 'Flower Lush In Roppongi Hills' for client Mori Building.
