Communications agency MerchantCantos hires Jane Reiss to grow and expand the company
MerchantCantos, a leading creative communications agency and part of the Brunswick Group, has appointed Jane Reiss as managing partner of North America. She will be based in New York and report to MerchantCantos chief executive officer, Matt Shepherd-Smith. “I am delighted to

Jane joins MerchantCantos from Grey New York, where she was most recently chief brand experience officer, responsible for creating innovative and integrated brand experiences for corporate and consumer audiences across a broad range of disciplines. Jane led a portfolio of key client accounts that included Darden, Disney, Hasbro, Nestlé, TJ Maxx and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Prior to Grey, Jane was chief marketing officer at NYC & Company, the agency created by Mayor Bloomberg to market and promote New York. There she was responsible for, among other things, recruitment, managing the consolidation and integration of all the agency’s divisions and driving
strategic partnerships and business development. During her tenure, New York achieved its target of 50 million visitors one year ahead of schedule. Earlier in her career, Jane was managing director and partner at the advertising agency, Margeotes Fertitta & Partners.
Jane will lead MerchantCantos’ U.S. offices in New York and San Francisco. She will focus on growing and expanding MerchantCantos in North America and delivering creative solutions for the evolving and future needs of clients.
