Jacob’s launches advertising campaign introducing three new Mini Cheddars flavours to its popular range

Jacob’s Mini Cheddars Asks You to Choose Your Own Cheese
Pladis, the global biscuit and confectionery company , announced today that Jacob’s has launched a brand-new TV advert for Mini Cheddars, now available in Red Leicester, Stilton and Smoked Cheddar flavours.
 
The new advert, which has been directed by Peter Lydon, will hit consumers’ televisions on Monday 3rd July, during Hollyoaks on Channel 4 at 18.45pm.

 
The campaign dramatises the introduction of the new flavours by inviting viewers to be a fly-on-the-wall spectator, as a fictional group of traditional cheddar flavour enthusiasts, ‘The Cheddar Appreciation Society’ discover and react to the revolutionary introduction of three new Jacob’s Mini Cheddars Cheese flavours.
 
The advert is set in ‘The Cheddar Appreciation Society’s private members club, and shows a group of eccentric Cheddar lovers, wearing club jackets, whose outfits are comically accessorised with costume mouse ears and whiskers on their faces. The Cheddars aficionados believe that it is impossible to improve the Mini Cheddars original flavour, and that the introduction of new flavours products could potentially undo generations of cheddar appreciation work carried out by their forefathers. However, when one member eventually dares to taste the new Stilton flavour, he gobbles down the packet and happily licks his fingers proving to the others that even the most traditional Mini Cheddars Original fans will love the new flavours.


 
The three new limited-editions are available in stores with an RRP of £1.88.

The new Jacob’s Mini Cheddars ad will be aired during peak TV viewing slots during July, including Love Island, Coronation Street and Celebrity Chase.
