Jack Morton Appoints Christine Capelli as Managing Director of Boston

Agency veteran, Steve Mooney, announces retirement

Jack Morton, the global brand experience agency, announces the promotion of Christine Capelli to SVP, managing director, Boston. She previously served as SVP, executive creative director, leading the office's creative team for clients, including LL Bean, LEGO, Upstream USA, Eaton, and Subway. Capelli steps into the role as former managing director, Steve Mooney, a veteran creative in the industry who has spent over 30 years at the agency, retires with plans to write, teach, consult, and explore ChatGPT.

Capelli has held several roles at Jack Morton since she joined the agency full-time in 2019. She served as the lead creative for the New York office, working on accounts such as Google, Walmart Media Group and Verizon. She moved over to lead the creative team in Boston in 2020. Under her creative leadership, the operation secured several key new business wins, such as Converse and Moderna, and awards, including Effies, EX Awards, ANA Reggie and B2 Awards. Capelli will report to Global Co-President, Craig Millon.

Mooney joined Jack in 1991 as a producer and switched to a creative role shortly after. He is responsible for the significant growth of the Boston office, which he has been at the helm of since 2002. He is known for championing several agency specialties, including B2B integrated marketing.

He might be a tough act to follow, but Christine is a headliner in her own right with enthusiasm and drive that we're confident will make a big impact across our Boston office," continued Bill Davies, global co-president, Jack Morton. 

Before joining Jack Morton, Capelli held senior creative roles at VMLY&R Commerce (Geometry) and Ogilvy. In her spare time, she is a vice chair on the executive committee of the Surfrider Foundation, Eastern Long Island Chapter.
