J. Walter Thompson London has promoted Kate Muir, its Head of New Business, to Marketing Director, as part of the management team. Other members of the team include Lucas Peon, ECD, Emma Hoyle, Head of Talent, Simone Forster, Head of Client Partnerships and Neil Godber, Head of Planning and James Whitehead, CEO.
Since taking over as Head of New Business in 2016 JWT’s new business conversion rate has doubled with 2017 seeing a significant rise in new business revenue. Kate is also one of four women from JWT London to be shortlisted in this year’s IPA Women of Tomorrow Awards.
Kate has worked at JWT London for much of her career. Starting as a grad in 1997 she quickly rose through the ranks becoming the agency’s youngest account director, then its youngest managing partner as well as being one of WPP’s High Potentials. She left as a global business director in 2011 to spend five years launching and running a start up in Milan, as well as working with an online content publishing company, marketing to mums.
