iPhone Film Fest call for entries
The Original iPhone Film Fest (OIFF), a groundbreaking online contest showcasing iPhone filmmaking, is excited to announce that it is now accepting submissions for its inaugural event. Entries will be accepted through September 30, 2011 and winners announced in October. In addition to an online showcase, the winning films will receive prizes provided by Zacuto USA, ALM Live, iStabilizer, and Geneva Lab with a grand prize of an iPad2.
The Original iPhone Film Festival seeks original short films shot on any Apple IOS device (iPhone™, iPodTouch™ or iPad2™) for consideration in Fiction, Non-fiction, Music Video and Brand Film categories. Films can run up to three minutes – four and a half minutes for music videos – and submissions are free. Contest details, rules and submission details are at www.originaliphonefilmfest.com.
Entries will be judged by a stellar panel of industry experts from entertainment and advertising including the rockstar members of Maroon 5, author & legendary “Madman” Jimmy Siegel, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lasse Hallstrom, technology guru David Pogue and Oscar-winning doc director Cynthia Wade.
The Original iPhone Film Festival was developed to bring together and showcase the films of the iPhone filmmaker community and encourage aspiring filmmakers to tell their stories by utilizing the “film studio in their pocket” – the cutting-edge Apple IOS devices that break down the barriers to personal filmmaking.
To further support and nurture this unique iPhone filmmaker community, OIFF is developing a portal to add to the OIFF website, which will have a deep user forum offering everything from iphone filmmaking tips, recommended accessories from our sponsors, apps and post production how-to's, a content showcase and future events & contests.
