The deadline for this year’s International Music+Sound Awards has been extended by two weeks to midnight (GMT), Friday 10th April.
Agencies and individuals hoping to be recognised amongst the best and brightest that the global music in media industry has to offer have been granted two extra weeks to submit their entries.
The Music+Sound have been celebrating outstanding music and sound design in advertising and the rest of the media for four years now with categories in original composition, sound design, sync and re-records.
Nick Payne, co-founder, comments: “We want to make certain that everyone interested has ample time to submit an entry and we hope that extending the deadline will assist with this.”
“We have seen a significant rise in the level of interest in this year’s awards and feel so delighted to have attained our goal of giving prominence to this group of phenomenally talented people; those who excel in creating, sourcing and commissioning music and sound in the media around the world.”
Anyone who has worked, in any capacity, on a commercial broadcast between 31st October 2013 and 27th March 2015 where they feel the music or sound design is pivotal, is encouraged to enter.
Advertising Jury Member, Francois Boshoff, Executive Creative Director at Grey, South Africa notes: “We are living in an increasingly visual world, where people are not only passively exposed to, but are interacting and conversing with a multitude of brands at a frightening rate... There has never been more urgency as a brand or advertiser, to ensure that your message is paired with the right piece of music.”
He goes on to say: “I am both honoured and very excited to be invited as a member of the Music+Sound Awards International jury, it's high time that we fully acknowledge the virtuosos we work with on a day-to-day basis.”
